- loving sportsman, having interest in horse-riding, river - rafting,
mountaineering, trekking, tent - pegging, rifle - shooting, basketball
and cricket, Shri Ranjiv Singh Dalal, IPS, Director
General of Police, Haryana has won President's Police Medal for Distinguished
Services- 2006, President's Police Medal for Meritorious Services
- 1991 and President's Police Medal for Gallantry - 1980. Sh. Dalal is a voracious reader and prolific writer. He has been constantly contributing articles to a reputed newspaper of Northern India “The Tribune” on literature, humour and current topics of social, political and national importance. He
has completed his education from prestigious institutions like DAV
College, Chandigarh and Delhi University. His flair for seeking knowledge
was soon recognised and an assignment of teaching Political Science
& Law at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration
was entrusted to him which he successfully carried out from October,
2002 to September, 2005. Besides, Sh.
Dalal, during his distinguished career, has, till now, commendably
fulfilled the responsibilities of Director, State Vigilance Bureau,
IG, Border Security Force, Jallandhar, IG, Gurgaon Range, IG H.S.E.B.,
IG (HQ) Administration, DIG, Ambala Range, Deputy Director (Sr.) Lal
Bahadur Shasri National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie and Superintendent
of Police at Bhiwani, Gurgaon, Faridabad and Hisar districts. Born on 2nd October (Mahatama Gandhi’s birthday), Sh. Ranjiv Singh Dalal is happily married to Mrs. Suneeta, an efficient home-maker and is blessed with two daughters, Priyanka and Vasundhara. His erudite scholarship and matured wisdom will certainly lead us on the path of fruitful service to the community. ***********
