New Year Message from the DGP, Haryana

I take this opportunity to wish all peace-loving citizens and members of our Haryana Police, a very warm Season’s Greetings and a happy & prosperous New Year 2012.  As we enter the year 2012, we shall continue to strive ever harder for a safe and secure Haryana.  

Haryana Police with its motto  is serving the people of Haryana with dedication since the creation of the State on 1.11.1966. The Officers and men of Haryana Police have worked tirelessly in the face of daunting challenges throughout the past year to maintain effective control over crime and criminals. Various key initiatives like modernization, induction of information Technology and better traffic management have started paying dividends. People belonging to all religions, communities, castes & creed are living in perfect harmony.

I am a firm believer that without public support, the police service in the country can not be effective. No operation against criminals, terrorists, anti-socials elements, economic offenders, smugglers etc. can be successful without the active cooperation of the public. It is the duty of Senior Police Managers to create an environment where public willingly co-operates with law-enforcing agencies. I take this opportunity to seek cooperation of the citizens of the State in making Haryana Police an effective and efficient organization dedicated to the service of the people.
